Born and grew up in Turkey, he started his career at Ottoman Bank Istanbul in October 1987. He joined Credit Lyonnais Istanbul (now Calyon) in 1989. After a successful career in this bank, he was transferred first to Belgium, then to Geneva completing 8 years in the same institution. Mr. Kendirli then continued his career at BCP Geneva heading the Treasury Department. During his 15 years in this bank, he became the Chairperson of Asset and Liability Committee, a member of the Management Committee and led the bank to obtain an investment grade from rating companies.
